A week of Biblical animals
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
(Genesis 1: 24 KJV)
∗God created all the living creatures. “And God saw that it was good.”
∗He created including the gigantic to micro animals.
∗God blessed each one them to be fruitful and be multiplied.
∗This is the first occurrence of the word ‘bless’ in the Holy Bible.
∗So all the animals came into existence in this world with His blessings.
∗God created everything in abundance and not in pairs alone.
∗God created countless miraculous spices.
∗God created the creatures with different habits and habitats.
∗He created the animals for various purposes.
∗Not a single species of the creatures resembles one another.
∗We can go on speaking about the wonders of God in animal kingdom
∗But His creations of living creatures are beyond our comprehension.
∗Isn’t it a blessing that they are created with us and yet, incomprehensible to us and they too are blessed abundantly?
∗Let’s always admire the living creatures and glorify His name.

Fall of Man through the animal.
Now the serpent was more subtil (cunning) than any beast of the field which the Lord had made.”
(Genesis chapter 3: 1-the first half)
*Genesis 3:1-5 reveals how the sin has entered in the world.
*As the Holy Bible says, the serpent is the manifestation of Satan.
*Satan is a fallen archangel of His Kingdom, thus possessing the body of serpent in its pre-fall and post-fall form and possessing supernatural spirit.
*They have the dazzling and enticing beauty.
*Satan’s motivation is to challenge God’s authority.”
*Since serpent is considered to be deceitful and is a trickster, Satan works with it’s support.
*Eve was the object of attack because she is weaker.
*She is all alone from the protection of Adam.
*Though sinless, she is temptable and seducible.
*Her openness to the serpent made him to manipulate and utter a direct lie about the Tree of knowledge.
*This lie led Adam and Eve to be deceived by Satan, to be disobedient to God, to have a spiritual death and were separated from God.
*Satan is a liar, deceiver and murderer.
*So, the above mentioned sinners came into this world.
*To redeemed ourselves from sins of lying, deception and murder, we have to follow His Word and obey.
∗Serpent plays a major role for the fall of Man.
Note:
KJV Dictionary Definition of “Subtil”
Subtil: Sly; artful; cunning; crafty; insinuating; as a subtil person; a subtil adversary.

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
(Matthew 10: 16 KJV)
*Jesus says the above mentioned verse to the disciples, while sending them out to speak about His gospel.
*The disciples are going into different directions without the Leader.
*He is giving instructions to the disciples.
*While instructing them, Jesus is comparing the nature of the people to various animals, which is quite interesting.
*Jesus compares the disciples to the sheep and the false prophets to the wolves.
*Sheep are meek and humble. They have to be always guarded, guided and protected by the shepherd from the wolves.
*Then he compares His disciples to be like serpents and doves.
*A serpent is wise, with keen eyesight and is quick to learn.
*A dove is innocent, meek and gentle.
*When the Holy Spirit appears in us, we are in the form of a dove.
*Unless we are quick witted as the serpent and gentle as the dove, we would be devoured by the wolves of the world.
*Jesus saw the necessity to have a balancing act because, he was sending them out “like sheep among wolves.”
*That balancing act is attainable if God is in charge of us because nothing is impossible with God.
As Isaiah 11: 6 KJV says,
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
(Proverbs 6: 6 KJV)
*Ants, the creatures with characters.
*The key word in this verse is sluggard which means a lazy or slothful person.
*Ants are always active.
*They store the food for the future.
*They communicate to one another through the vibration as they have no ears, that’s what the scientists say.
*They make a trail as they keep going so that the other ants can follow.
*They are self sufficient. In the scriptures we across that we should be the givers and not the receivers.
*The ants work without any supervision.
*The story, The Ant and the grasshopper, symbolically tells us the character of godly people and the worldly people.
∗We should appreciate the wisdom of the ants and the wise people.
*Are we doing what we are supposed to do regularly, methodically and systematically?
*Are we completing the work what we are supposed to do on time?
*Are we communicating to one another with the open mindedness?
*Are we self sufficient to be generous givers rather than being expecting receivers all the time?
*Are we prepared to work without supervision?
*Are we following the trails of Jesus Christ which He has left, while He was with us?
(He is with us even now and all the time)
*Christianity is knowing and following.
*Let’s be as active as ants!
*And prove to be good Christians !!
God has created the vast universe, including massive galaxies, our solar system, and complex ecosystems.
Yet He chose the insignificant ant—a tiny six-legged creature to teach us important lessons – how to overcome laziness.

The source of the poem, “The gifts of the gabs”
Genesis chapter 3: 1 – 4
The talking Serpent
Serpent: Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Eve: We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’
Serpent: You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
∗Then the eyes of both Adam and Eve were opened.
*The cause for the fall of Man and the spiritual death.

Numbers chapter 22: 28 – 30
The talking donkey
The Lord opened the mouth of the Donkey
Donkey: What have I done to you that you have struck me these three times?
Balaam: Because you have abused me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you.
Donkey: Am I not your donkey in which you have ridden ever since I became yours, to this day?
Balaam: Yes.
Donkey: Was ever disposed to do this to you?
Balaam: No.
∗The Lord opened the eyes of Balaam and saw the angel of the Lord with unsheathed sword.
∗The cause for the survival of Balaam

THE GIFTS OF THE GABS
The serpent brought the spiritual death of Mankind,
With its gab of craftiness in convincing Adam and Eve.
The sins entered in various forms and multiplied
And the Saviour redeemed from the deep-delved cave.

The humble donkey too had the gift of gab
To protect her master from the unsheathed jab
Though struck three times, remained unmoved.
When asked, the Lord opened the eyes of her master.

Alas! The world has the gabs of craftiness and humility.
To segregate and judge them, need the work of our Almighty.
Waiting for the second coming of the Saviour, our Lord
To save us again from the wretchedness of the world.

Glory be to God
