LEPROSY
Leprosy was a common ailment in the ancient world. Leprosy, mentioned
in the Bible refers to variety of skin ailments. Some are serious and
some are not. But it was considered unclean.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF JESUS TO THE LEPER
*Jesus wants the leper to trust Him. “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean”
*Jesus doesn’t like publicity. “See that you tell no one”
*Jesus wants us to obey the commandments of Moses. (Leviticus. 14:4-7) “offer the gift that Moses commanded”
THE REACTION OF THE LEPER
∗ But as the leper was cleansed, his exuberance over the miracle makes him to disobey Jesus, by proclaiming His name.
* The man is a living testimony.
* Even if the words fail from him, he becomes the eye witness for others.
JESUS…….
∗ is compassionate.
∗ is a Healer.
∗ is stern.
∗ is humble.
∗ holds the laws.
∗ is sovereign.
So Christ had to move away from the city into the desert regions (Mark 1:45) because multitudes poured in to hear Him and receive His healing.
TRUTH IS VISIBLE AND CAN’T BE HIDDEN. JESUS IS OUR HEALER!
Lord, let Your power and truth be visible always to everyone. Let’s always have the faith that You are everything for us. Let’s not work for fame and name, but for the glorification of Your name. Amen.
