A week of joy
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! (Psalm 100: 1 NKJV)
*Praising God’s kingship
*Recognising the Lord’s kingdom rule
*Thanking the universal nature of God
*Knowing the everlasting mercy and truthfulness of God
*Worshiping and honouring His name for ever with shouts of joy

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5: 22 & and the first two words of 23)
Fruit of Spirit: Characteristics of the lives of those who belong to God by faith in Christ and have the Spirit of God.
They behold the following characteristics –
*Love is the willing self sacrificial service.
*Joy is a gift from God, that we should delight in the blessing, we already possess.
*Peace is the inner calm that results from saving the relationship with Christ.
*Long suffering is the patience to endure the injuries inflicted by others.
*Kindness is the tender concern for others and to treat them gently as Christ has treated the people.
*Goodness is the manifestation of moral and spiritual excellence.
*Faithfulness is the loyalty and trustworthiness.
*Gentleness or humility is having no desire to revenge, but yielding to God’s will.
*Self-control is restraining the passions and appetites.
Obeying the Scriptures and walking in the Holy Spirit lead us to imbibe the Fruit of Spirit.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. (James 1: 2 NKJV)
*The natural human response to trials is not to rejoice.
*Trials break the pattern of peace, joy, comfort and happiness of one’s life.
*During the trials one’s nature is exposed.
*When one’s nature is exposed, the faith decreases.
*When faith is lost, we fall into evils.
*God brings such trials to prove and increase the strength and the quality of faith.
*So a conscious commitment to be made to face the trials with joy for its only a test of patience.

Though now you do not see Him, believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, (1 Peter 1: 8 NKJV)
*God allows the trails to test our faith.
*Even while going through the trails, still trusting the Lord, shows our genuine faith.
*Jesus is our example. We love Christ and we believe in Christ though unseen.
*Through Him, God revealed His character and His glory.

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16: 24 NKJV)
*Full joy is the active prayer life with the Father.
*Joy is strengthened with the ongoing relationship with God.
When we have a closer relationship,
*He answers our prayers.
*He supplies His heavenly blessings.
*He fulfills His purpose in our lives.
Glory be to God
