A Week of God’s Strength
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
(Proverbs 18:10 KJV)
*The name of the Lord is a strong tower
*What do you mean by that?
*It stands for the manifestations of perfection.
*Non other than our God possesses the perfection.
*What do you mean by perfection?
*Perfection is faithfulness, power, mercy and wisdom.
*These qualities are unchangeable in Him.
*What is the result of those  unchangeable qualities?
*Then He is eternal and also He makes Himself known with these changeless qualities.
*When people understand these unchangeable qualities, they rely on Him for security.
*Not every Tom, Dick and Harry get the security from Him.
*Only the righteous people go into the strong tower.
*Who are the righteous people?
*Not the hypocrites,
*not the regular church goers,
*not the ceremonial Christians,
*not the Pharisees and Sadducee,
*but the one who obeys the Word of God and live accordingly.

“The rich man’s wealth is his strong city and as an high wall in his own conceit.”
(Proverbs 18: 10 KJV)
Rich man’s wealth has only pomp and show.
∗He thinks with his wealth, he can…
*protect himself from the enemies,
*live an honourable life,
*have the man power,
*see himself above all
*buy peace and wisdom,
*be the life guard with high walls.
But we should always remember only Divine Tower alone can guard us in all situations.

Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his face continually.
(1 Chronicles 16:11 KJV)
This verse as a song perpetually reminds us the importance of seeking God because …
*our strength is found in him …
*our grace is from his loving presence …
*our hope is in seeing him face to face
*and our life is in knowing Him better and better every day.
*We are known by him through and through.
*We must look to the Lord and not seek our own way or follow our own path.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
(Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
∗Though a Word so simple and comprehensible, yet has a lot of treasure in it.
*We are always fearful, when something goes wrong.
∗We are tilted.
∗We are not ourselves.
∗We think further with fear.
∗We lose our confidence.
∗We are disturbed.
When we are disturbed, nothing works out well.

∗During those times who is with us?
∗God says, I am with thee.
∗Can you feel the difference, when we face the dangers and difficulties, and if someone is with us?
∗It makes a lot of difference.
∗Fifty percentage of the fear is gone.
∗Even though we are tilted, we look forward from that person some consolation.
∗If that person is a faithful friend, he would help you to come back to yourself.
∗Likewise every negative feeling might be turned to positive to some extent.
∗But here the possible God is with us.
∗So don’t you think the hundred percentage of the fear is gone?
∗The meaning of the word dismayed is distressed or disappointed.
∗This is a different kind of situation.
∗If you are disappointed with the person, you will never feel like getting them back.
∗The disappointment or the distress is so much that you can’t revert the situation.

∗I am thy God, God proclaims. He is all powerful. He owns you.
∗If a stray dog, owns a master, how happy the dog would be?
∗The dog’s life is restored and reverted. Isn’t it?

∗We become weak and weary. I will strengthen thee, says God.
∗The dog is bathed and fed. Won’t it feel stronger?
∗I will help thee, God says
We must have lost physically or emotionally or mentally or financially or spiritually-might be any loss.
∗The dog has lost its health. Won’t the master take him to the doctor to treat him help him to make him better?
∗Here God says, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
∗Is it wonderful?

Lord, strengthen us with your strength and lead us with all righteousness. Amen.

Glory be to God
