The Parable of the Sower Matthew 13:3-23; Mark 4:2-20; Luke 8:4-15

The sower (God) is scattering the seeds ……..27156b4047bd537b6ebd145f81a606d6
The seeds (Jesus or His Word) fell on…….
* The wayside soil represents the people  who hear the Word of God but don’t understand it.Just like the seeds are picked up and eaten away by the birds, Satan takes Jesus Christ out of their hearts.
*Rocky soil represents people who receive the Word of God with joy but, as the plant doesn’t have a good root system in the rocky soil, the believer also doesn’t have good understanding of God. Matthew 11:6
* The thorny soil represents people who receive Jesus Christ but are taken up with cares of life and deceived by the riches and pleasures of the world. Mark 4:7, 18
* The good soil represents people who hear the Word of God, believe it, have faith in God and obey His word. Matthew 13:23

Response of the people
Jesus quotes the fulfilment of the prophecy of Isaiah with the people. Isaiah 6:9,10
Eyes see, but not look and perceive.
Ears hear, but not listen and recall.
Minds are dull to comprehend or understand.

Reward of Jesus
🔴 People who are blind and deaf to the parables and miracles of Jesus are incapable of comprehending the mysteries of His Kingdom. From such people, the little understanding they have, will be taken away.
🔴 The people who have the understanding will be given more and more power to comprehend and rejoice in the Kingdom of God.

🌠 Isn’t it amazing? Which category do we belong?
.
Lets pray….
Lord, lets perceive, recall and comprehend Your Word in order to reflect Your image in our lives. Amen.
Glory be to God
