THE CONVERSION OF SAULimages (12)
Acts 9 : 1 – 43 Linked
∗ Saul was an anti- believer of Christ.
∗ He had been involved with the stoning of Stephen.
∗ Jesus didn’t accuse him of persecuting the church, it is Jesus Himself who is being persecuted.

SAUL’S MISSION
∗ Saul was on his way to Damascus with the permission of the High priests to bring the people, who followed the Way of Christ to Jerusalem.
MET BY JESUS
∗ Saul was speechless, when he heard the voice of Jesus and he was blind.

ANANIAS WAS SENT TO SAUL
∗ Jesus was sending a believer named Ananias to minister Saul.
∗ Though had the full knowledge of Saul’s original mission of persecuting the believers, it was not an easy mission to approach Saul and treating him as a believing brother.
∗ But, when Ananias approached him, he regained his sight and he was baptised.

SAUL RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT
∗ The Spirit had been already active in Paul’s life.
Convicting him of sin (John 16 : 9)
Convincing him of the Lordship of Christ (1 Corinthians 12 : 3)
Transforming him (Titus 3 : 5)
Dwelling in Him permanently (1 Corinthians 12 : 13)
Filled with Holy Spirit and empowered for service (Ephesians 5 : 18)
∗ Saul received the Holy Spirit without any Apostles.
∗ He was an apostle in his own right because Christ personally chose him and commissioned him for His service. (Romans 1 : 1)
∗ So the transformation of Saul into Paul was amazing. It’s the work of Christ.
LET OUR NATURE OF SAUL BE CHANGED INTO PAUL.

Let’s pray……
Lord, let’s be filled with Your Holy Spirit and let Your salvation come into our lives. Let’s no more be Sauls, but be Pauls and be guided and led by Your Spirit. Amen.
Glory be to God
